OPEN CALL: INDIGENOUS & TRADITIONAL CRAFTERS β AIR FESTIVAL 2025 

Are you a crafter specializing in indigenous and traditional handmade crafts? This is your chance to showcase and sell your unique creations at the African Indigenous Renaissance (AIR) Festival on 21 March 2025 in Kranshoek, Plettenberg Bay!
The AIR Festival is a vibrant cultural celebration featuring music, dance, food, visual arts, and authentic African craftsmanship. We are calling on talented artisans who create handmade, indigenous, and traditional crafts to be part of this exciting festival.
WHO CAN APPLY?
We welcome crafters and artists who specialize in: Beadwork and traditional Β jewellery
Wood and stone carvings
Sculptures (clay, metal, stone, or wood)
Weaving and basketry
Pottery and ceramics
Handmade Indigenous textiles
Leatherwork and handcrafted accessories
HOW TO APPLY:

Funding is provided by the National Arts Council of South Africa (NAC), the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC), the Presidential Employment Stimulus Program (PESP5), the Western Cape Government Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS), and the South African Music Performance Rights Association (SAMPRA) Development Fund.
