Danielle Jenay Van Wyk is a passionate and engaging Early Childhood Development (ECD) educator, with a diverse range of experiences in both teaching and childcare. With a background in creating fun, educational environments, Danielle is known for her dynamic approach to storytelling, paired reading, and interactive play, making learning enjoyable and accessible for young children.
At the AIR Festival, Danielle will be leading a series of activities that will captivate young minds, including storytelling, puppet shows, puzzles, and classic games like Ludo and Dominoes. Her love for engaging with children shines through in everything she does, whether it’s through one-on-one reading sessions or fun-filled games that enhance cognitive skills.
Danielle’s experience spans various educational settings, from assisting in classrooms and facilitating reading sessions with the Zoe Reading Project, to working with Grade R students at the Garden Route Municipality. Her hands-on approach ensures that children not only learn but enjoy the process through creative and stimulating activities. Danielle’s warm and approachable nature, combined with her solid organizational skills, ensures that each interaction with the children is both meaningful and memorable.
Her background in Early Childhood Development (N4-N6) from South Cape College, along with her fluency in both English and Afrikaans, makes her a versatile and well-rounded educator who thrives in nurturing children’s growth in a variety of environments.
