Calling All Fine Artists and Crafters in the Bitou District!

The Cape Town Arts Festival, in partnership with the Ariva Arts Foundation and supported by Bitou Municipality, the Griqua National Conference, and Tshisa Talent, proudly presents the AIR (African Indigenous Renaissance) Business and Events Training Program!

This groundbreaking program, funded by the National Arts Council of South Africa (NAC), the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC), the Presidential Employment Stimulus Program (PESP5), and the Western Cape Government Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS), offers an extraordinary opportunity for fine artists and crafters in the Bitou District. Participants will develop new skills, collaborate with musicians, and unlock their income potential through innovative training in business management and event planning.

What’s in Store?

• Hands-on experience in event and business management, leading to the creation of your very own festival: the AIR Festival in Plettenberg Bay on Human Rights Day (March 21, 2025).
• A unique opportunity to collaborate with other artists and entrepreneurs, showcasing your craft and talents to the community and beyond.

 

How to Apply:

• Interview Date: December 6, 2024
• Each artist/crafter will have a 10-minute interview
• Only 6 artists/crafters will be selected for this life-changing program!
