Zanele “Zanie” Mdloyi a dynamic singer and local musician from Khayelitsha speaks on her experience with the Cape Town Arts Festival and the Beyond Busking Development Program.

She details how being in the Beyond Busking Program has made her feel alive again and how the vocal training aspect of the program helped her to know her vocal range and ability. She performed her original song “Ma Afrika” on the big stage for the first time at the Beyond Busking Festival Day on the 29th of October 2022.

The future is very bright for Zanie as she has been selected to perform in Spain for 6 months from April 2023.

Zanie is definitely a success story of the Beyond Busking Project!
